I am a life long learner, with a nursing degree from McMaster University, a Social work degree from Carleton University, and a theology degree (in Anglican Studies) from Saint Paul University. I also value adult learning opportunities. I earned a Certificate in Psychosynthesis Counselling from Psychosynthesis Pathways and have completed a two year course in Spiritual Deepening and Spiritual Direction, from Atlantic Jubilee Program at Tatamagouche Centre in Nova Scotia.
For relaxation and inspiration I like being active outdoors, particularly in hiking, cross country skiing and swimming. I also like being involved with food: gardening and cooking.
I have lived in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and also in Germany.
In my work life, I have been a stay-at-home mother, and a volunteer in social agencies and church settings. I have done paid work as a nurse, a social worker, and a church minister. Presently, I am Spiritual Director in Residence at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa.
My passion is spirituality and religion, and their relationship to healthy human development and to creativity. My spiritual practices include: Centering Prayer, Anglican worship and prayer, pilgrimage and walking, spiritual listening and silent retreats. I am a member of St Margaret’s Anglican Church, Vanier.
I am grateful to my friends and family for their support in my journeys.
